Radio Frequency Treatment

The use of most radio frequency systems include: skin tightening, skin rejuvenation, circumference reduction, cellulite reduction, body skin tightening and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
What Radio Frequency does
The Radio facelift is a thermal procedure that uses radio frequency waves to reconstruct the deep tissue layers beneath the skin. Radio Frequency is a hot new trend in non-surgical face lifts and is fast becoming a popular maintenance technique for people who are not yet ready for a "full" face lift.
Here’s how it works
The deep heating of Radio Frequency helps tighten the collagen in your dermis and subcutaneous tissue, while also stimulating the formation of new collagen. As a result, you’ll see tighter, smoother skin and improved tone and texture. These results will start immediately and continue in the months following treatment.
At the same time that Radio Frequency heats the deep layers, it also cools the epidermis, which keeps the surface of your skin safe during the procedure. As a result, your skin needs no recovery time and you can quickly resume your daily routine.
What can radio frequency (RF) energy treat?
Pure RF energy is used to treat skin laxity by facial tightening, and is best suited to patients with mild to moderate sagging of facial tissues - usually those in their mid thirties to fifties.
Radio Frequency is commonly used to treat the forehead area (lift brows and tighten skin), under the eyes (thickens and tightens skin, and lifts the upper cheek skin), cheeks (lifts slightly and diminishes enlarged pores), mid-face, jaw line (diminishes jowling and sagging along the jaw line), and the neck (tightens skin and diminishes wrinkling of the neck).
In combination with other modalities, RF can be used to enhance a variety of treatments including hair removal, photo rejuvenation, pigmented and vascular problems, acne treatment and cellulite treatment.
In the last 10 years various non-invasive and non surgical treatments modalities have been developed for aging skin and body contouring. The gold standard technology emerging after laser is radio frequency (RF) treatments.
RF energy is a form of electromagnetic energy that is safe and effective for all skin colours and types. Rapidly oscillating electromagnetic fields cause movement of charged particles (electrons) within the skin tissue. The resultant electrical current generates internal heat proportional to the skins electrical resistance. This source of heat has been extensively used in the past 50 years for surgery, hemostasis and tissue ablation (electro-surgery). In recent years it has been applied as a means of shrinking redundant or lax connective tissues through the mechanism of collagen denaturation.
Collagen molecules are produced by skin cells called fibroblasts which synthesise three polypeptide chains that wrap around one another in a triple helix. When collagen is heated denaturization (changes to a molecule) starts and the heat-labile intra-molecular cross-links are broken. This causes the protein to undergo a transition from a highly organised crystalline structure to a random, gel-like chemical state.
Collagen thermal shrinkage occurs through the cumulative effect of the ‘unwinding’ of the triple helix. This ‘unwinding’ is due to the destruction of the heat-labile intra-molecular cross-links, and the residual tension of the heat-stable intermolecular cross-links. Heated fibroblast cells are also important in neo collagen formation and subsequent tissue remodelling, which can also contribute to the final cosmetic result. The precise heat-induced behaviour of connective tissues and the extent of tissue shrinkage are dependent on several factors which include: the maximum temperature reached in the skin tissue, exposure time, tissue hydration, and tissue age.

How does Radio Frequency Work?
Technically speaking, radio frequency is the number of oscillations (or waves) per second of the electric and magnetic fields within the radio waves portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. It is lowest of the electromagnetic radiation frequencies within the spectrum, which itself spans from radio waves, microwaves, infrared, optical (visible light), ultraviolet, x-rays, to gamma rays. By feeding an alternating current or voltage through an antenna or electrode, electromagnetic waves can be generated that radiate through space at the speed of light; called radio waves. Radio frequencies, or radio waves, have wavelengths ranging from less than a centimetre to as long as 100 kilometres.
By applying RF energy to the human body, which can conduct current and therefore act as part of the electrical circuit, any resistance encountered by the energy flow will cause heat to be produced at the site of maximum resistance, which can be used to cut or coagulate tissue. RF energy is able to penetrate deeper into the skin and affect the deeper dermis and subcutaneous layers, causing tightening and improvements to the underlying tissue structure, but with little change in skin texture or fine lines and wrinkling.
BB-RF09 adopts the theory of RF to penetrate skin directly, using the resistance of skin and high friction between molecule can bring heat energy; it makes the temperature of deep skin rise, collagenous tissues temperature will rise. The collagen rising temperature to produce instant contractibility can remove wrinkle quickly and tighten skin, at the same time the heat energy that produced on dermis can stimulate collagen birth again, and then recombine and restore ill collagen, and then achieve the function of removing wrinkle and tightening skin. RF is short form of Radio Frequency, it means the vibration 6 million times of electromagnetic wave every second. Radio wave is a part of electromagnetic spectrum, it spreads as the light speed.
