Here at Slimland, we offer four different types of massage. Below is a list of the different types, and what they consist of to help you decide which massage is best for you. We also have a selection of oils you can choose from.
- Remedial Massage
- Swedish Massage
- Sports Massage
- Relaxation Massage
Remedial Massage breaks down scar tissue and knots. The
remedial massage speeds up recovery time and encourages a more complete
heal after an injury. Remedial massage is used for conditions created by
lifestyle factors such as bad posture, Repetitive Strain Injury, and
back pain. The massage also increases blood and lymph flow -
particularly in the injured areas.
Sports Massage helps speed recovery time between sporting
events and training. It focuses on repairing tight/injured muscles and
joints. Sports massage releases tension and cramping in muscles, while
breaking down knots, and increasing muscle and joint flexibility.
Swedish Massage is
a relaxing and soothing method that focuses on increasing the oxygen
flow within blood and removing toxins from the body. It soothes the
nervous system, aids with digestion, and helps to tone muscles. Swedish
massage is a combination of many different massage techniques.
Relaxation Massage is purely that... relaxing. The massage will relax the entire body and allow you to zone out into your own world. After the massage your muscles will feel looser and you will be nice and relaxed. Let the stresses and worries of work and home disappear for an hour.
